To provide an IMS access right authentication method for permitting access to an IMS from a terminal unit originally without an access right to the IMS.
The terminal unit 4 acquires IMS access authentication information used for authentication of an access right, from a mobile terminal unit 2 having an access right to the IMS 1. The terminal unit 4 transmits the acquired IMS access authentication information to the IMS 1 and requests access right authentication processing to the IMS 1. The IMS 1 carries out access right authentication processing using the IMS access authentication information transmitted from the terminal unit 4. When the access right is authenticated, the IMS 1 gives the terminal unit 4 the access right to the IMS 1.
