Abstract:
PURPOSE:An antitumor agent, induced and produced by cultivation of cells in charge of immunity derived from mammals and having action on specific inhibition of multiplication of tumorous cells. CONSTITUTION:An antitumor active substance, obtained by cultivating cells in charge of immunity derived from mammals, e.g. lymphocyatic cells, e.g. T-cell, B-cell, etc., monocytes such as mononuclear cell, macrophage, etc., and cell lines thereof in a normally used culture medium, e.g. Eagle's minimum essential culture medium, RPMI-1640 culture medium, etc., preferably in the presence of an antitumor substance inducer (0.001-0.1wt./vol.%) at about 30-40 deg.C for 1-5 days, separating the cultivation supernatant and separating from the cultivation supernatant by a normally utilized method for separation and containing a polypeptide expressed by formula I (X is Cys or Ser Z is H or peptide expressed by the amino acid sequence expressed by formula II) as a constituent protein. The substance alone is useful as an antitumor agent and advantgeously used for remission enhancing therapy and remission maintenance therapy by use thereof with various antimalignant tumor agents.
