Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a piezo-electric ceramic compsn. for an actuator high in a piezo-electric strain constant, high in Curie temp. and very useful as a piezo-electric actuator material.

CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is constituted of a piezo-electric compsn. consisting essentially of a perovskite compd. which consists of atoms of lead, lanthanum, zirconium, titanium, zinc, niobium and oxygen and is shown by general formula [II] Pb(1-x-m)LaxAm[(1-z)(ZryTi(1-y))+z(Zn1/3Nb2/3)](1-x/4)O3 being formed by substituting a part of lead site of a perovskite compd. shown by general formula [I] Pb(1-x)Lax[(1-z)(ZryTi(1-y))+z(Zn1/3Nb2/3)](1-x/4)O3 with barium, calcium or strontium (wherein the formula [I], [II], 0<x≤0.07, 0.30≤y≤0.65, 0<z<0.40, 0<m≤0.10, A=Ba, Ca or Sr).
