PURPOSE: To provide an overhead door device capable of easily using doors of different types such as a louver door or a screen door and having good operability without impairing the space utilization efficiency and airtightness of a building.

CONSTITUTION: Both end sections of a door main body bendably connected with multiple sections divided in the vertical direction are liftably supported via guide rollers on guide rails provided along both ends of the opening section of a building to form this overhead door device. The guide rail 1 is branched for the upper portion from the upper end vicinity of the opening section, and different door main bodies are supported on the branched guide rails 11, 12 respectively. The branch section 6 of the guide rail 1 is provided with a switching lever 9 connecting only the branched guide rail 11 or 12 to the guide rail 1 below the branch section 6 according to its rocking position and a means such as a magnet 10 for fixing the switching lever 9 at the prescribed rocking position.
