PURPOSE: To provide a hanging panel device which is cheap, applicable to even a thin panel main body without need to be formed in a special panel main body, is excellent in maintenance and assembling workability, and can be easily applicable to after market.

CONSTITUTION: This hanging panel device 2 is mainly constituted of two runners 9 capable of traveling in a hanger rail 1, and a panel main body 8 connected to these two runners 9 through hollow shafts 10. In the runner 9, power of a speed reducer motor 20 on a runner base 11 is transmitted from a sprocket 21 for a motor shaft to a first sprocket 26 through a first chain 25, and transmitted from a second and a third sprockets 28, 30 on a power transmitting shaft 22 to a sprocket 18 for rotating a wheel through a second and a third chains 27, 29. As a result of this, a wheel 17 provided on the wheel shaft 13 of an axle fixing member 12 through a bearing 15 for a wheel is rotated, and hence the runner 9 self-travels so as to move the hanging panel device 2.
