Abstract:
PURPOSE:To strengthen mixing of gaseous O2 and material contg. C to raise combustibility and to shorten melting time for iron scrap, by providing a turning blade to a nozzle at top end of a flow path of gaseous O2 surrounding a flow path of material contg. C in a lance and specifying an angle of the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The angle theta of the nozzle 3 provided at top end of the flow path 2 of gaseous O2 surrounding the flow path 1 for material contg. O2 is prescribed to 20 deg.-70 deg. to center axis of the path 1. Further, the turning blade 4 is attached to the nozzle 3 to provide burner lance. The lance is used and material contg. C is jetted from the path 1, on the other hand, gaseous O2 is jetted from the nozzle 3 having the blade 4 to melt iron scrap charged in converter. Then, when gaseous O2 flow collides and mixes with the blasted flow of material contg. C at the vicinity of lance outlet, turning flow is provided to gaseous O2, mixing is strengthened and combustibility is raised. Consequently, combustion heat of material contg. C can efficiently by supplied to iron scrap.
