METHOD FOR VISUALIZING LIQUID FIELD OF GAS-LIQUID MIXED PHASE FLOW FIELD

Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure a speed of a liquid by mixing, as tracer particles, zinc sulfide particles or particles coated with zinc sulfide on the surface thereof in a a gas-liquid mixed phase flow field.

CONSTITUTION: Zinc sulfide particles or particle coated with zinc sulfide on the surface thereof are mixed as tracer particles in a gas-liquid mixed phase flow field. A laser of a pulse shot type having 250-400nm wavelength, 50KW/ mm2/pulse or larger energy density and 30Hz or lower oscillating frequency is driven to irradiate a visualization space with a laser light while an emission timing is controlled by an external control device 10. An electronic shutter is set between a CCD camera 7 and the visualization space. An opening/closing timing of the electronic shutter is controlled by the external control device 10. A fluorescence generated from tracer particles at an optional time is photographed by the camera 7. Accordingly, air bubbles can be separated from tracer particles on an image, and only a liquid field is visualized. Moreover, when the obtained image is processed, only a speed of the liquid is detected.
