PURPOSE: To provide an image forming method and an image recorder for forming an image having no defect.
CONSTITUTION: In the image forming method for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptive body 1 by use of insulating developer, overlaying the transfer sheet 6 on the formed toner image, pressurizing the photoreceptive body 1 and the transfer sheet 6 so as to transfer the toner image, or to simultaneously transfer and fix the image, the photoreceptive body 1 provided with a photoreceptive layer made of amorphous silicon, is used, the insulating toner is used for the developer and also a bias voltage is impressed on a pressure transfer roll 5 so as to transfer and fix the image. The image forming device is provided with the photoreceptive body 1, an electrostatic charging means, an exposure means, a developing means and a transfer and fixing means provided with the pressure transfer roll 5 provided with a bias voltage impressing means. The amorphous silicon photoreceptive body is preferably used as the photoreceptive body 1. Thus, satisfactory image density can be obtained without generating fogging and the image is formed with high reliability, with the conserved energy and at a low cost.
