PURPOSE: To prevent damage to a clamping device in a carry-out means by forging while controlling the length for extending in the moving direction the means for carrying out the flash part of a forged product having a flash part so as to limit the extension within a prescribed length.

CONSTITUTION: In one of a pair of forging molds 1, 2, a slider 9 is provided in a state displaceable in the extending direction of the flash part 8. Between the slider and one of the forging molds, a coil spring 14 is interposed which is a pressing means to press the slider to the direction where the flash part is extended, and a means for adjusting the slider position, which is abutted on the slider at the time of closing the mold and by which this slider is drawn into the mold to a prescribed position, is provided. The inner end surface of this slider is curved facing toward the inside of one of the forging molds as the surface is closer to the other forging mold. Consequently, the damage to the clamping device in the carry-out means by the flash part of the forged product is prevented, and the forged product is surely extruded from the forging mold.
