PURPOSE: To prevent a governor from its erroneous operation by providing a suppressor for suppressing vertical vibration of a weight pulley for giving tension to a governor rope wound to a governor pulley, in the case of providing a governor device containing an overspeed detector driven by the governor pulley.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of operating a car 4 lifted through a sheave 3 and a main rope 6 by driving an electric motor 2 with a command of an electric motor controller 1, in a governor device, linear motion of a governor rope 9 connected by a rod 7 to the car 4 is converted into a circular motion by a governor pulley 8, to provide a pendulum displaced by centrifugal force in accordance with a speed of the governor pulley 8, and when a car speed arrives at a specific value, an electrical contact is actuated by displacing the pendulum to stop an elevator. Here, a vibration preventing device of using a friction force vibration preventing mechanism for pressing contactors 12a, 12b is additionally provided in a weight pulley 10 provided so as to give tension to the governor rope 9, thus to suppress governor pulley vibration so as to prevent a governor from its erroneous operation.
