PURPOSE: To collect an appropriate fare corresponding to a train route for a passenger using a non-contact IC card such as a commutation ticket and a non-contact IC card corresponding to a prepaid system.

CONSTITUTION: A ticket examination system is provided with the non-contact IC card 10 for checking getting-on/off, which a passenger carries at the time of using a train and into which passing point information can be recorded, an intra-train transmitter which is installed in the train, and which can write passing point information into the non-contact IC card 10 that the passenger possesses in the train in non-contact manner at the time of passing a prescribed passing point and an automatic ticket examination machine 30 or an automatic adjustment machine 40 which is installed at a railroad station and from/into which passing point information of the non-contact IC card 10 can be read/ written in non-contact manner.
