Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct simple proof print of desired quality by revising resolution of data used for the simple proof print. SOLUTION: The image output method generates conversion files including a reference file RF having print image data Dp and four-color separation file CF including processing color separation data Dy , Dm , Dc , Dk and outputs an image based on the conversion file. In this case a resolution at output is designated (designated resolution) the processing color resolution data Dy , Dm , Dc , Dk included in each color resolution file CF are thinned out depending on the designated resolution to generate thinned image data Da and a new reference file RF' including the data Da as print image data Dp is generated and simple proof print is conducted based on the print image data Dp .
