PURPOSE: To obtain recycleable tableware which is excellent in surface hardness and secondary workability by molding it by a composition comprising a specified amount of polymethyl methacrylate and aromatic vinyl cyanide based polymer.
CONSTITUTION: Polymethyl methacrylate (A) component forming tableware is a single polymer of methyl methacrylate or a copolymer produced by copolymerizing methyl methacrylate as main component and a slight amount of another copolymerizable monomer. Styrene, α-methylstyrene or the like is exemplified as an aromatic vinyl compound composing an aromatic vinyl- vinyl cyanide based copolymer (B) and one or more compounds thereof can be used. A composition forming the tableware comprises 5-95wt.% of the (A) component and 95-5wt.% of the (B) component. As the method for molding the tableware from the composition, a molding technique such as injection molding or compression molding, is exemplified.
