Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the title unit needing no large-scale carbon dioxide separator, equipped with an oxygen generator, coal gasification furnace, gas combustor, gas turbine drivable with combustion gas, waste heat recovery boiler and carbon dioxide treating equipment for exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:Coal 1 is fed into a coal gasification furnace 2, an oxygen gas produced in an oxygen generator 19 is fed, via a feed channel 17, into the furnace 2 where the coal is oxidized into a combustion gas, which is, in turn, fed via a flow channel 8 to a gas cooler 9 and purified in a gas purifier 10 and then burned in a combustor 11 using an oxygen gas fed via an oxygen feed channel 18; a gas turbine 12 is driven with the resulting gas, and electricity is generated using a dynamo connected to the gas turbine 12, and the combustion gas from the gas turbine 12 is introduced into a waste heat recovery boiler 14 where steam is generated. Part of the exhaust gas from the boiler 14 is circulated via exhaust gas returning flow channels 20-22 to the coal gasification furnace 2 and combustor 11, and part of the exhaust gas is treated in a carbon dioxide treating equipment 16, thus accomplishing power generation using the title unit.
