PURPOSE: To obtain a β-aminoacrylic acid ester by reaction of an acetic acid ester and aminal ester under a low pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A compd. of formula I (R1 is H, a 1-8C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, 6-12C aryl, 7-10C aralkyl or an arom. or non-arom. heterocyclic ring having 1 or 2 hetero atoms from N, O or S; R2 is a 1-8C alkyl) is reacted with a compd. of formula II (R3 is R2; R4 to R7 are each R1 other than H, a 2-8C alkoxyalkyl or 3-8C alkoxyalkenyl), pref. in an aprotic polar solvent selected from a group consisting of N-completely substd. acid amide, sulfolane, sulfoxide and sulfone, under a pressure of 0.5-10 bar, pref. 1-5 bar, and at 50-170°C, pref. 80-150°C, to obtain a β-amino acrylic acid ester of formula III. In the reaction, it is preferable to use a tertiary arom. amine and a tertiary arom. carbinol as a catalyst.
