Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a treating method of slag after executing dephosphorizing treatment in molten iron. CONSTITUTION:The dephosphorizing treatment is executed to molten iron and one or more kinds of metallic Al and metallic Si and material containing them or an alloy containing them are added to the molten slag after separating from the molten iron. By this method, i.e., by using metal reducing agent and simple reducing method, the slag which can effectively be used as roadbed material, etc., has the same strength as natural stone and is low in free CaO, can be obtd. Further, at the same time, a useful iron alloy having high Mn and P contents can be produced.
