PURPOSE: To prevent deformation of the gear of an image carrying member provided with the gear at one end of a cylinder having a photoreceptor on its peripheral surface even if load increases and to obviate generation of unequal pitches in driving transmission by providing the bottom of the gear with a metal lightening part and providing this metal lightening part with a reinforcing part.
CONSTITUTION: The drum gear 17 is easily producible and needs to be high in meshing accuracy. The drum gear is consequently produced by injection molding a synthetic resin. The inner side of the bottom of the gear is provided with the metal lightening part 17b and this part is molded thin in order to enhance the meshing accuracy by making shrinkage uniform over the entire area of the tooth surface and lessening the influence of the shrinkage at the time of injection molding of the gear. The metal lightening part 17b is provided with the reinforcing part in order to reinforce the deformation of the tooth surface in the metal lightening part 17b. This reinforcing part is composed by mounting a reinforcing member 21 at the metal lightening part 17b. While the material of the reinforcing member 21 is not specifically limited, the member is preferably composed of the same resin, etc., as the resin, of the drum gear 17.
