PURPOSE: To provide a solid-liquid sucking and pumping device simply operated and its usage which enable the consistent sucking and pumping of sludge or sediment of high specific gravity and high viscosity and enable effective functioning even under a high suction head condition.
CONSTITUTION: A solid-liquid suction inlet 8 open into a supply liquid source 6, and an air supply pipe 9 open into the atmosphere are joined so that a mixing chamber is formed. A lifting pipe 11 led down from a solid-liquid collection tank 2 made into negative pressure by operation of vacuum generation device 1 is led into the mixing chamber 7, and an opening/closing mechanism 10 is provided in the air supply pipes 9. Accordingly, solid/liquid in the supply liquid source 6 is collected intermittently into the solid-liquid collection tank 2 by operation of the vacuum generation device 1 and opening/closing of the opening/ closing mechanism 10 of the air supply pipe 9.
