PURPOSE: To prevent any increase in non-combustion component of fuel and deterioration of fuel consumption by providing a control means or the like for controlling injection pressure of fuel injected from an injector, and reducing an amount of fuel stock on the wall surface generated by an increase in intake air density caused by high supercharging.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection device for auxiliary chamber type diesel engine is provided with an auxiliary chamber (a vortex chamber) 10 for carrying out supercharging by a supercharger. Also it is particularly provided with an electronic control type unit injector 11 for injecting fuel into a vortex chamber 10 and capable of changing injection pressure, and a density detecting means 35 for detecting the density of intake air which flows into the vortex chamber 10. And also it is provided with a control means 23 for increasing the injection pressure of fuel injected from the injector 11 to such an extent as an increase in the density of intake air detected by the density detecting means 35. When intake air density is increased by high supercharger, fuel injection pressure is increased in association with the increase in intake air density. It is thus possible to reduce the amount of fuel stuck on the wall.
