Title:
PRINTED WIRING BOARD HAVING FIBER CABLE BURIED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0677672
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the cumbersomeness of a copper wiring pattern design corresponding to the signal speed in a printed wiring board as well as to enable the transmission and receiving of a signal in a device independently of the speed of the signal.

CONSTITUTION: When a transmitting panel 6 converts a high-speed electrical signal to an optical signal by an optical transmitting element 4a of an optical transmitter 4 and emits it, the optical signal emitted by the optical transmitting element 4a is input to one end of a fiber cable 2 from an optical lens 3a, and it is emitted from an optical lens 3b at the other end via the fiber cable 2 buried in a printed wiring board 1. The optical signal emitted from the optical lens 3b is input to an optical receiving element 5a, and it is converted to an electrical signal by an optical receiver 5 and sent to a receiving panel 7.
