Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simulate a sensory evaluation characteristic by a method wherein the sensory evaluation characteristic and a design factor regarding a tire are set, an element technique which expresses both relationship and the observed value of the design factor are handled by a fuzzy value comprising three or more choices and a fuzzy inference is performed. CONSTITUTION: A pattern noise, the drivability of a vehicle, its stability and the like are set as sensory evaluation characteristics regarding the performance of a tire, and the constituent element of a tread pattern, the weight of the vehicle, the rigidity of a suspension and the like are set respectively as design factors. An element technique which expresses the relationship between the sensory evaluation characteristics and the design factors is expressed by a fuzzy value comprising at least three choices, and the observed value of the design factors is expressed by a fuzzy value comprising at least three choices. On the basis of the element technique and the observed value of the design factors, a fuzzy inference is operated, and the sensory evaluation characteristics are simulated. Thereby, the performance of the tire can be evaluated with high accuracy.
