PURPOSE: To prevent electromagnetic radiation by covering the periphery of a connection between the terminal of an electronic mechanism component and the conductor of a cable with an electromagnetic shielding material to form a shield layer, and bringing the shield layer into contact with the shield portion of an electronic equipment mechanism component.
CONSTITUTION: The conductor 2 of a cable C is connected (connection B) to the terminal 1 of an electronic mechanism component A, and the shielding wire of the cable C is connected to the shielding portion 4 of the metallic case, etc., of the component A. A plastic cover 5 is fitted or molded over the outer periphery of the cable connected. A conductive plastic or other electromagnetic shielding material covers the periphery of the connection B between the terminal 1 of the component A and the conductor 2 of the cable C to form a shield layer portion D around the connection B. Also, part of the shield layer portion D is brought into contact with the shield portion of the metallic case, etc., of the component A. Therefore, electromagnetic waves generated from the connection B are prevented from leaking out, while external electromagnetic waves are prevented from entering from the connection B.
