Abstract:

PURPOSE: To guide at the time of a high speed transfer and a transfer by holding even a thin strip without any trouble.

CONSTITUTION: A strip 1 is sucked toward a strip guide surface 36 by a differential pressure between a high speed air flow 39 and the outdoor air by injecting air 15 from a nozzle 40, and forming a high speed air flow 39 between a strip guide surface 36 and the strip 1. A mechanism is made so that the strip 1 is floated and guided with an approximately constant interval to a strip guide surface 36 by the high speed air flow 39 existing between the strip guide surface 36 and the strip 1. And, a strip 1 with arbitrary width and dimensions, can be coped with adjusting the positions of plural strip guide device main bodies 37 and 38 in the width direction 9 by using a width direction moving device 16.
