PURPOSE: To obtain the heat-sensitive recording material having the excellent light resistance and the high coloring density by containing the compounds expressed by the specified general formulas in the heat-sensitive recording material, wherein a heat-sensitive coloring layer, whose main components are coloring compound and developing compound, is provided on a supporting body.

CONSTITUTION: The main components of a heat-sensitive coloring layer are normally colorless or hypochromic coloring compound and developing compound, which can color the coloring compound in heating. The heat-sensitive coloring layer is provided on a supporting body. Thus, the heat-sensitive recording material is obtained. In this heat-sensitive coloring layer, the compounds expressed by the formula I or the formula II (e.g. 2-[1-(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-t- pentylphenyl) ethyl]-4,6-di-t-pentylphenyl acrylate and or 2-t-butyl-6-(3-t-butyl-2- hydroxy-5-methylbenzil)-4-methylphenyl acrylate) are contained. Thus, the heat- sensitive recording material having the excellent light resistance and the high coloring density is obtained.
