PURPOSE: To provide a steering device which can change the steering ratio which is obtained by dividing the steering angle of a steering wheel by the control angle according to the steering angle.
CONSTITUTION: A third bevel gear 62 is rotated by the rotation of an input shaft 12, and an external gear 66 is rotated and turned by an eccentric shaft fixed to the third bevel gear 62 and an internal gear 68 fixed to a housing 10. An engagement pin 70 fixed to the external 66 is shifted to the direction parallel to the axial direction of the input shaft 12, and the sleeve 24 is also shifted. The movement of this sleeve 24 is converted into the rotation of the sleeve 24 through a torsion spline 22. The sleeve 24 is directly rotated by the rotation of the input shaft 12, and the rotation is reduced from the original one. The rotation of the sleeve 24 is transmitted to an output shaft 34 without being changed by a parallel spline 36. The relationship between the steering angle and the sleeve 24 is non-linear, and the steering ratio is increased according to the increase of the steering angle of a steering wheel 18.
