PURPOSE: To provide a keyboard capable of controlling the movement of a mouse cursor on a screen without separating operator's hands from home positions on a keyboard.

CONSTITUTION: A mode switching means 11 selects either one of a keyboard mode and a mouse mode as a mode for the keyboard 10. When the mode inputted by the means 11 is the keyboard mode, a data conversion means 12 outputs input data 15 as keyboard input data 16 without executing data conversion, and when the input mode is the mouse mode, converts the input data 15 into mouse data 17 for moving a mouse cursor on the screen of an information processor 20 based upon a direction and a speed corresponding to the position and distance of a key depressed in order to input the data 15 from a center point on a segment connecting two keys on home positions and outputs the data 17.
