PURPOSE: To provide a handling device which can easily transfer a work to the next process or accommodate the work into an accommodation container by catching the work which is transferred in a horizontal state, setting the front end or rear end as standard.

CONSTITUTION: A handling device is equipped with the first hand 602 which is engaged with one end part of a work and the second hand 603 engaged with the other end part, in order to nipping-hold the work by a hand part and transfer the work to the next process and accommodate the work into an accommodation container. During the time when the first and the second hands 602 and 603 are opened and closed with a prescribed opening and closing width, the shift of a rotary cylinder is regulated, and after the first hand 602 stops through the contact with a stopper 612, the second hand 603 shifts by each several times of the shift distance of the rotary cylinder, and the other end part of the work is shifted up to the contact with the first hand 602. When the work is separated, the first and the second hands 602 and 603 are installed so as to be opened with the equal opening and closing width at the same time.
