Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce activated carbon free of oxide from a waste tire by a simple apparatus easy to control. CONSTITUTION:A container 1 is charged with waste tires and closed with a lid. The container is passed through a carbonization accelerating chamber 12 through the preparatory chamber 11 of a heating apparatus 10 for heating at about 350 deg.C, taken out through the preparatory chamber 13, and cooled to about 100 deg.C in the open air. Then, carbonized waste is taken out of the container 1, and it is sent to a crusher-magnetic separator 100 to separate carbide from other substance such as steel wire, so that activated carbon free of oxide is obtained.
