Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten a rise time for the temperature-up starting of a system by installing a control circuit which shuts off a natural gas control valve at starting of a fuel cell system based on a signal detected with an inflamable gas detector and switches fuel for burner combustion (anode exhaust gas combustion) in a hydrogen gas production unit. CONSTITUTION:A burner 4 in a fuel reformer 5 burns natural gas at starting of a system. Inflamable gas is detected with an inflamable gas detector 13, and a detected signal K is sent to a controller 16, and the controller 16 compares the signal K with a detecting signal K0 which is previously set. When the signal K coincides with the signal K0, the controller 16 controls the opening of a control valve 17 which controls the amount of natural gas fuel 1 supplied to the burner 4 so as to decrease the fuel 1. When the signal K coincides with a signal K3 which is previously set in the controller 16, the control valve 17 is closed. The supply of the natural gas fuel to the burner 4 is stopped and the burner 4 burns an anode exhaust gas. The rise time for the temperature-up starting of a system are shortened.
