Abstract:
The invention relates to a device and method for constructing a virtual installation model (2) as a representation of an actual installation (1). For that purpose, the data base used is composed both of a set of digital image data (4) constituting representations of an actual representation (1) and sets of installation components (13) of a component library (6). The installation component data and the digital image data (4) of the actual installation (1) are evaluated by means of image analysis (5). Based on this evaluation, allocation of the known installation components (13) to the virtually produced installation model (2) is carried out. The virtual representation of the actual installation can be used to document the actual structure of the installation, for analysis of simplified disturbances, e.g. concerning areas with difficult access, and/or for use and observation of the installation. Besides the geometrical data, functional data and the like, relating to the components of the installation, can be stored in memory.
