PURPOSE: To perform efficiently various and small quantity printing of a plurality of lots of a small lot printing matter, by a method wherein a printing image which is common to unit lots each is printed on printing sheets each by a gravure printing method by making use of the same gravure printing plate.
CONSTITUTION: Printing of a printing image 2 which is different from each other at every lot is performed to respective printing sheets 1 for an amount of a preestablished number of sheets at every lot of a small lot and a preprinting sheet A by-ink jet for an amount of a plurality of lots or a static plotter is obtained. Then the same gravure printing image 3 is printed over the printing image 2 of the preprinting sheet A by a publicly known gravure printing method so far by making use of a gravure printing form plate to be obtained beforehand through photoengraving of the same printing image which is can to each and every unit lots of a plurality of the lots and ordinary gravure printing ink or sublimating gravure printing ink. With this construction, a printed matter B for an amount of a plurality of lots which is in accordance with a number of sheets established at every lot of the small lot can be obtained.
