PURPOSE: To provide an electronic card, to which dust is hardly stuck, which is easily connectable even in the case of a lot of poles and a connector assembly for electronic card.

CONSTITUTION: The connector assembly for electronic card has a base member 56, hollow casing 66 freely turnably fitted at one end of this base member 56, and contact members 62 and 64. When an electronic card 10 is inserted from an opening 80 of the casing 66, engage shoulders 84 and 86 are formed inside side faces 74 and 78 of the casing 66 so as to expose contact pads 26 and 28 of the electronic card 10 by moving a shield 32 of the electronic card 10 while being engaged with the shield 32. The casing 66 is turned toward the base member 56, and the contact members 62 and 64 of the base member 56 are mutually connected with the contact pads 26 and 28.
