Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a deoxidation catalyst in a deoxidation reactor from powdering which is a pretreating process of hydrogen production equipment from a cake oven gas and a pressure loss in a catalyst bed from increasing caused thereby. CONSTITUTION: This granular filler for a deoxidation reactor is used by filling thereof on the upstream side of a coke oven gas in a deoxidation catalyst used for the deoxidizing reaction of the gas. The composition of the filler is a silica-alumina-based one and the porosity of grains in the filler is 20-60%. Furthermore, the method for deoxidizing the coke oven gas is to fill the granular filler on the upstream side of the gas in the reactor filled with the deoxidation catalyst and carry out the deoxidation in the method for deoxidizing the cake oven gas.
