Abstract:
A method of calculating and/or analysing and/or detecting a complex system is described, this system consisting of numerous interacting and/or mutually dependent basic objects. The method according to the invention consists essentially of the following steps: a) formation of an initial structure, in which essentially all basic objects of the system represent the lowest level of a hierarchy, and the next higher level of the hierarchy is formed by those objects obtained by suitable grouping of more than one object of the next lower level of the hierarchy, an initial property and/or an initial boundary condition being specified for each object; b1) calculation of the interactions and/or dependencies of essentially all objects of a particular group, taking into account the respective boundary conditions; b2) calculation of one or more characteristic and/or relevant property of each group from the respective calculated interactions/dependencies, taking into account the respective boundary conditions, in order to describe that superior object which represents the group concerned ("bundling"); b3) calculation of boundary conditions for each object of a group, and of its interactions/dependencies, from the calculated or initial properties of the superior object ("contexting"); and c) iteration of the steps (b1) to (b3) until specified criteria are met, after previously restructuring the hierarchically arranged objects, if necessary.
