Title:
PEN POINT HAVING INK SUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07112595
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the dripping of ink, stabilize the density of ink and greatly increase the number of writable characters by providing an impregnating material to at least one surface of the pen point used in the state inserted in a pen shaft to form an ink sump.

CONSTITUTION: An impregnating material 3 is bonded to the curved surface of at least one surface of a pen point 1 by an adhesive so as not only to exactly conform thereto but also to come into contact with a slit 2. In this pen point 1, the ink held to the pen point 1 is sent to the tip of the pen point 1 from the slit 2 provided to the center part of the pen point 1 at the time of writing by capillary action. At that time, since the impregnating material 3 is bonded along the curved surface so as to come into contact with the slit 2, the ink stored in the impregnating material 3 is automatically supplied to the chip of the pen point 1 through the slit 2 by capillary action to be consumed until the impregnating material 3 becomes empty.
