PURPOSE: To provide a control device for an engine with a supercharger in which an engine stop can be prevented from being generated even when torque is reduced by a fuel cut when a supercharge pressure is abnormally increased.
CONSTITUTION: In an engine VE, when a supercharge pressure is abnormally increased, only when it is a preset value (300mmHg) or more further when an engine speed is a preset value (1500rpm) or more, fuel infection from a fuel injection valve 9 is stopped by a control unit C to perform a fuel cut. Consequently, even when the fuel cut is performed at the time of abnormally increasing the supercharge pressure, since the engine speed is not decreased to the preset value or less, an engine stop is prevented from being generated. Accordingly, while preventing generation of the engine stop, abnormally increasing the supercharge pressure can be effectively suppressed.
