Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:Polypeptide having amino acid primary sequence expressed by the formula (X is Arg; m is 0 or 1). USE:Useful for a drug such as a gastric acid-secretion inhibitor, an anti-ulcer agent, an alimentary canal protective agent, a calcium isolation accelerator, analgesic, an anti-inflammatory agent, a development accelerator, a therapeutic agent for hepatic disease, a wound curing accelerator, a corneal repairing agent and an ophthalmic preparations, and cosmetic such as beauty lotion, emulsion and rouge. PREPARATION:For instance, canine urine is collected from a beagle dog and solid materials are removed with gauze, then glacial acetic acid is added to the urine, ammonium sulfate powder is added and dissolved so as attain 2M system, then the solution is adsorbed on a wall of a hydrophobic column by passing through the column, thus the adsorbed material is eluted with acetonitrile, etc., and a fraction having epithelial cell growth activity is collected, then the fraction is concentrated under reduced pressure, thus dialyzed to water and purified by subjecting to ion-exchange chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography, in turn, to afford the polypeptide expressed by the formula.
