Abstract:

The invention relates to a novel process and to novel intermediates for the preparation of substantially known triazolone derivatives, in which triazolone derivatives of the general formula (I) are obtained by reacting iso(thio)cyanates of the formula (II> X = C = N-R<1> (II> with aminoguanidines of the formula (III) or with acid adducts of compounds of the formula (III) (step 1) and condensing the (thio)ureidoguanidines of the general formula (IV) formed in this reaction or, if desired, acid adducts of compounds of the formula (IV) to give compounds of the formula (I) with elimination of a dialkylamine (HNR<3>R<4>) (step 2).
