PURPOSE: To make it possible to continue a register processing when a fault occurs in a printer by outputting transmitted printing data to a local printer concerning a POS terminal where the fault occur in the printer.

CONSTITUTION: When the printer fault occurs in local POS terminals 2-6 and it is not judged that TEXT reception can not be a substitutive printing request TEXT and judged that substitutive printing possible responce is transmitted from the POS terminals 2-6 with the local POS terminal 1, the number of the substitutive printing possible POS terminals 2-6 is displayed in the display part of the POS terminals 2-6 with the occurrence of the printer fault. When it is judged that the TEXT is another one, another TEXT reception processing is executed. Therefore, the number of other POS terminals 2-6 which execute substitutive printing can be known and a receipt issued by the POS terminals 2-6 which execute substitutive printing is received and given to a custome.
