PURPOSE: To realize the display of a paper feed performance by push-pressing paper sheets against a pick up roller by means of fixed force by conducting the regulation of an ascent position by means of a paper sheet height control member in regard to a paper sheet mounting plate to be mounted with paper sheets inside a paper feed tray.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of a paper sheet mounting plate 10 to support paper sheets P inside a paper feed tray, a swing arm member 20 is arranged at its side portion, and engage-stopping retension is carried out at the rack 22 of the swing arm member 20. A paper sheet height control member 15 for controlling height in regard to the paper sheets P supported on the paper sheet mounting plate 10 is arranged, and a detection member 16 to detect the height of the paper sheets P is arranged at one end portion of an upper part arm member 17, and a head responding member 19 to swing the swing arm member 20 is arranged at the other end portion, and the ascent height of the paper sheets P is regulated, and at the same time a means to maintain fixedly normal force between the pickup roller of a paper feed member and the paper sheets P is constituted.
