Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel UV light absorbing compound which can preferably be employed in the art of colored molding plastics, resin films, heat-sensitive transfer materials, liquid crystal display materials, color photographs and the like, and method for producing thereof. The UV light absorbing compound is characterized by the general formula: wherein R<1> represents linear or branched alkyl or aralkyl group, and R<2> represents -CN or -COOR<3>, wherein R<3> represents substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aralkyl group.
