Abstract:
To transmit broadcasting other than terrestrial digital broadcasting to a television receiver using an existing indoor wiring.SOLUTION: When an IP-RF conversion device 400 receives channel (CH) information from a television receiver 500 via a communication medium, the IP-RF conversion device 400 selects an IP stream corresponding to the CH information of the television broadcast from an IP network 150, allocates terrestrial digital physics CH to the IP stream, and notifies the television receiver 500 of information on the terrestrial digital physics CH via a communication medium to set the frequency of the terrestrial digital physics CH to a tuner of the television receiver 500. The IP-RF conversion device 400 further converts the IP stream into an RF signal having the terrestrial digital physical CH frequency, and outputs the RF signal to the television receiver 500 via a broadcast wave signal transmission medium. As a result, even in the case of broadcasting other than terrestrial digital broadcasting, the television receiver 500 is made to reproduce a broadcast program via the broadcast wave signal transmission medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
