Title:
IRON BASED Mn-B ALLOY POWDER FOR FLUX-CORED WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007203341
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide iron based Mn-B alloy powder for a flux-cored wire whose pulverizability upon its production is satisfactory, capable of mass-producing fine powder raw materials, having low magnetism and capable of continuously producing a flux-cored wire free from a joint in the outer skin with high efficiency even if being applied as the raw material for a flux-cored wire, and further, the cracking resistance and toughness of a weld metal are made satisfactory.

The iron based Mn-B alloy powder for a flux-cored wire is an iron based Mn-B raw material added to a flux-cored wire and comprising, by mass, 1 to 5% B, 65 to 85% Mn, ≤1% C and ≤1.5% Si, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Alternatively, ≤0.40% P and ≤0.20% N are incorporated therein. Further, its grain size is ≤150 μm.
