Abstract:
To provide an IC card reader system capable of handling an IC card and a non-IC card at the same time.SOLUTION: An IC card reader system includes a card reader that receives an information-recorded IC card and an information-recorded non-IC card other than the IC card so as to process information, comprises an IC reader that processes the IC card and a rear unit that is located in back thereof and performs processing on the non-IC card, and comprises identification means that identifies the IC card and the non-IC card, first carrying means that carries the IC card and non-IC card inserted, and a shutter that provides isolation from the rear unit during an existence of the IC card. The rear unit comprises second carrying means that carries the non-IC card inserted and passed the shutter. By the shutter, the IC card and the non-IC card are not allowed to exist at the same time in the IC reader.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
