Abstract:
To provide an IC card capable of easily registering biometric information on a user.SOLUTION: An IC card includes: a communication unit 24; a memory unit 34; an obtaining unit 50; a biometric information check-up unit 32; an identification information check-up unit 36; and a biometric information registering unit 38. The communication unit communicates with a terminal device. The memory unit includes a biometric information memory area 46 that stores identification information 43 which is stored in advance in order to identify a user, and also biometric information on the user. The obtaining unit obtains the biometric information from the user. The biometric information check-up unit checks up the biometric information obtained by the obtaining unit from the user with information present in the biometric information memory area. When the check-up by the biometric information check-up unit is unsuccessful, the identification information check-up unit receives the identification information input by the user from the terminal device via the communication unit, and checks up the identification information input by the user with the identification information stored in the memory unit. When the check-up by the identification information check-up unit is successful, the biometric information registering unit stores the biometric information obtained by the obtaining unit in the biometric information memory area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
