Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the worst state that a card cannot be used due to the data abnormality of the IC card by outputting a detecting signal detected in a power failure detecting circuit and then maintaining the voltage value of an IC card operating power source above the operation assuring voltage of the IC card for a required time. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 20 having a decision function for deciding whether a writing command to the IC card 9 is transmitted or not according to a detecting signal 19 from the power failure detecting circuit 17 and a voltage holding circuit 21 consisting of a resistance R1, a diode D1, a capacitor C1 is added. According to this constitution, even when the power failure is generated at any time including a writing operation, the operation assuring voltage to the IC card 9 can be maintained in the IC card 9 during the writing operation, so that the writing operation of the IC card 9 can be completed to prevent a writing error.
