PURPOSE: To eliminate a problem of icing within a cold water distributing pipe in a system having a freezer, an ice heat accumulating water storing tank and a cold water supplying pipe by a method wherein the system is comprised of cold water supplying main pipe for two laying flows of ice and water and each of mixing layers disposed in each of distributing regions.
CONSTITUTION: In an energy plant A, some fine ice particles 4 of broken ice in a freezer 3 under utilization a night time electrical power in order to accommodate for an increased cooling load at a daytime in summer season are manufactured, the particles are once stored in a water storing tank 1, and the ice 4 in the water storing tank 1 is sent to a water mixing tank 14 at a sub-station B while being in two-layers of ice and water. Ice particles are melted during sensing operation and entirely the ice particles become low temperature water of approximately 0°C. The low temperature water is sent from a head 7 to a demanding location by a cold water distribution pump 8 through a cold water distribution pipe 9. Water returned from the demanding location to the cold water returning head 11 is returned back to the water storing tank 1 by the cold water returning pump 12 through a cold water returning main pipe 13a. With such an arrangement, a problem of icing in the cold water distributing pipe 9 can be eliminated.
