Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice storage display stand in which ice chips can be fed into an ice storage tank without the necessity of human hands, and which can surely detect a condition in which the quantity of ice chips reaches a predetermined value in the ice storage tank.
SOLUTION: An ice detecting mechanism 30c for detecting ice chips in an ice storage tank 10 comprises a swing plate 38a adapted to oscillate at its lower end when ice chips discharged from an ice chip feed part (push-out mechanism 30a) suspended so as to be swingably supported, being spaced from a bottom part 16a by a predetermined height, abuts against the lower end of the swing plate 38a, and a detecting part adapted to be operated in response to the oscillation of the swing plate 38a, the swing plate 38a being located in the vicinity of the ice chip supply part 30a.
