Abstract:
To disable illegal revise by further setting a peculiar cryptographic key to the main board of equipment and performing enciphering processing even when the ID code of equipment is possessed.
The peculiar cryptographic key is set for each board based on the combination of wiring of address bus 2 and a data bus 3 on the board and the combination of pull-down resistors 6 of these signal lines and further, the enciphering and deciphering processing of ID code of equipment is performed while designating the address of EPROM 5 based on a random number from a random number generator 15. Thus, the equipment is prevented from being illegally used by copying the ID code.
