To provide a system for specifying identification information, identification information conversion apparatus, tamper-resistant apparatus, and identification information specifying method which make possible to specify identification information according to a service provider, even if a plurality of identification information for every service providers are not stored in the tamper-resistant apparatus.
An IC card 100 responds to an encryption command APDU (Application Protocol Data Unit) for requesting common identification information sent from a server 300, and returns an encryption response APDU for replying the common identification information. A POS terminal 200 adds an SP (service provider) signature and a public key certificate to the encryption response APDU, then transmits to the server 300. The server 300 specifies an individual identification information relating to the common identification information and service provider identification information, and notifies to the POS terminal 200. The POS terminal 200 performs service provision using the individual identification information.
